Listed mining sector and communication on sustainable development: can do a lot better!
The study focuses on 23 mining companies listed on European markets. Within this group, 12 companies are considered to provide partial communication, while 5 companies are deemed to offer only opaque reporting, amongst them Glencore, one of the mining giants. In light of the fact that mining companies made up 70% of the new entries on the London Stock Exchange in the first half of 2011, this study serves as an important warning to institutional investors of the eventual risks that the conflicts between mining companies and NGOs represent as well as the gaps in their reporting.

Communication of European companies on nanotechnology
Little is known about nanotechnology, but it is a rapidly expanding field that has pervaded a large number of sectors, notably chemicals. Although many listed European companies involved in nanotechnology remain silent about the subject, a few provide exemplary communication.

How Important is Employee Training on Sustainable Development Issues for the CAC 40 Companies?
This report, a collaborative effort between Novethic and Des Enjeux et Des Hommes measures the emphasis placed on the deployment of CSR policies by CAC40 corporations, and the attempt to engage employees via various kinds of training. Produced from an analysis of sustainable development reports, it focuses on the importance, or lack of, that businesses place on mobilising employees on sustainability issues.

Transparency of French Multinational Companies in the CAC40 on the Fight Against Corruption
This study, co-written by Novethic and the Service Central de Prévention de la Corruption (SCPC) focuses on the reporting quality of French companies in the CAC40 on corruption risks and practices. Management quality, engagement approach and risk exposure are all addressed. Company and sector rankings, expert opinions and CSR rating agencies methodologies' on corruption are also included.

SUSTAINABLE BUILDING
What practices are real estate funds implementing to tackle energy issues?
For the first time, Novethic examines how French property fund managers integrate energy issues into their strategies. Conducted in partnership with The French Association of Property Investment Funds (ASPIM) and the French Environment and Energy Management Agency (ADEME), this survey measures the extent to which investors take into account eco-efficiency performance in their property management and investment practices.

Reporting on the eco-efficiency performance in the property sector
Novethic, with the support of the French Environment and Energy Management Agency (ADEME) has reviewed the eco-efficiency performance reporting in the property sector. The Barometer analyses the information provided by companies listed in the property sector - developers, property companies and asset managers - on the energy performance and CO2 emissions of the assets they own.

Novethic carried out an in-depth study of property professionals' commitment to the issues involving the energy performance and greenhouse gas emissions (CO2) of buildings, the results of which are published in the report, "Eco-performance Reporting in the Property Sector: a Pivotal Issue." Also conducted with the support of ADEME, it analyses the strategies of public property companies, developers and asset managers in Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, and Japan and includes interviews with property professionals, experts and stakeholders.

Sustainable Building: An Energy and Funding Issue
